Hello
I am in a 15 team 5x5 league drafting from the 7 hole.
Mike preaches about laying the groundwork with the first few picks by looking at hitting and within hitting, striking a balance among the 5 hitting categories
This is what I would like to achieve.
I would like to get opinions on what my first 4 picks could realistically look to lay a good groundwork before looking at pitching.

1. Jose Abreu/Paul Goldschmidt
2. Yasiel Puig/Jacoby Ellsbury
3. Ian Desmond
4. Evan Longoria

I like it, except I don't see myself having a shot at Abreu/Goldy.
At 7, I figure adam jones, carlos gomez and encarnacion/bautista will be there.
Would Rizzo in the first and Puig/Cano in the 2nd work?
cano seems to finally be dropping out of round 1 this year

Go with Gomez followed by Jones followed by Encarnacion. Second round Cano would be a good pick if you go outfielder in ROund 1. If you go Encarnacion than go Puig in Round 2. Get 1B and outfielder first two picks.
