Did a piece on Alex Wood today. This is a guy who is on the cusp of stardom. Go get him.

Thanks for the post about Alex Wood. If you can use the last two round drafts to keep two from Gerrit Cole, Alex Wood, Marcus Stroman and Matt Shoemaker, which two would you keep? (14 teams, H2H league, Pitcher Stat Categories: Win, Losses, Saves, Ks, Holds, ERA and WHIP)

Wow that is a tough call. I would take Cole and Wood. Although I really like Stroman as well.

Thanks for the reply. I hope I can draft back Stroman. In the same league (14 teams, H2H league, Hitter Stat Categories: R, HR, RBI, Net SB, OBP, OPS and Error), who will you use your 2nd round draft to keep, Desmond or Freeman? Too many people shout Freeman is a bust and cannot do much in weak ATL lineup, but as a 1B, he must have less errors than Desmond and has higher OBP and OPS than Desmond in past years.

With OBP and errors involved you have to go with Freeman. Freeman has the ability to be a 25 HR/100 RBI/.300 guy but the lack of support will push those stats down this season. Still Desmond is a disgrace defensively.

so many good 1st basemen..and atl is a mess. I expect ws or bust for the nationals and to me that means in this scenario I would go with desmond. I rate Desmond as the #2 ss in the game. I might be dreaming but the kid is good.

Desmond is one of the more underrated players in game and is clear example of how people focus too much on batting average. three straight 20/20 campaigns and honestly he has durability you don't get with HanRam and Tulo.
